Mason Schexsnayder

Mason Schexsnayder, 94 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Son, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 21, 2023. He entered this world on November 13, 1928, born to Edna Mae and Severin Schexsnayder, in Palmetto, LA. Mason honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Mason is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Mary Giordano Schexsnayder; son, Mason Schexsnayder, Jr (Maria); daughter, Janice Martin (Raymond); grandchildren, Tammy Parent (Mark), Jason Schexsnayder (Liza), Nicole Bridges (Keith), Raymond Martin and Pamela Martin; and several great-grandchildren.

Mason is preceded in death by his father, Severin Schexsnayder; mother, Edna Mae Fontenot Schexsnayder; sisters, Bertha Doiron and Mary Lee Dupre.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cailyn Bauer, Jeff Bauer, Spencer Schexsnayder, Cason Schexsnayder, Keith Bridges, Blake Sturges.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
