Mary Posey

Mary Maude Lofton Posey, 90 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on August 25, 1931, born to Lavina and Hardy Lofton, in McCall Creek, MS.

Mary is survived by her sons, Jerry Netherland and wife, Connie, George Dewayne Johns and wife, Janice; daughters, Hilda Heard and Candy Johns; grandchildren, Jerry Netherland, Jr., Stephanie Netherland, Jeff Johns, Juliana Johns, Jennifer Spivey, Erica Corban, Coby Nevels, Alex Cunningham, Tony Fresina, Christopher Fresina, Jason Cedotal, and DeAnna McQueary; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Lofton; sister, Ethel Floyd; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Posey; father, Hardy Lofton; mother, Lavina Lofton; daughters, Vivian Fresina and Donna McQueary; and her 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Fresina, Chris Fresina, Coby Nevels, Jeff Johns, Dylan Netherland, and Jason Cedotal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Netherland, Jr. and Jordan Sergent.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Farrin Spivey. The graveside service and burial will follow at Azalea Rest Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
