Mary Hasty

Mary Lou Hasty, 79, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Bluebonnet.

Mary Lou Hasty was born in Alabama on October 1, 1935, to Edgar and Alice Brooks. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a devoted member of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Pastor William Hasty; daughter Deborah Barker and husband Jack; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Alice Brooks; and great-granddaughter, Miranda Smith.

Family requests visitation be observed on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 3840 David St. Zachary, La., from 5:00pm until service time at 11am on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, La.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in memory of Mary Lou Hasty to Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 3840 David St. Zachary, La. 70791.
