Mary Cambre

A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at St. Clare Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 85. Visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, on Monday, July 8 2013, from 9am until religious services at 11am, conducted by Deacon Don Ard. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by three daughters and two sonsinlaw, Linda and Charles Crittenden of Baker, Paula Spencer of Baton Rouge, and Wanda and James Chapman of Central son and daughterinlaw, Alvis G. and Beverly Durham of Baker a sister, Mattie Hanks of Baton Rouge seven grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Alvis G. Durham, Sr. and Vincent T. Cambre, Sr. three brothers, Frank, Oscar, and Dennis Babin sister, Mary Ellen Hamilton soninlaw, W.F. Pharoah Spencer, and her parents, Oscar and Eugenia Babin. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses of Clarity Hospice, and the staff of St. Clare Manor Nursing Home.
