Marie White

Marie Louise Achee White, born August 30, 1923, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the age of 95 in Geismar, LA. She was a native of New Roads, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA.

Marie worked in the retail field and then retired to be a stay at home mother and grandmother. She loved to garden and cook. Other hobbies she enjoyed included reading, sewing, doing puzzles, watching Disney movies, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was very passionate about always helping others.

She survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ramey and her husband, Jack; brother, Murel Achee and his wife, Vera Achee; grandchildren, Jamie Kling, Terry Ramey (Deshea), Lynn Fairchild, Marleana Guidry (Jarett) and Carl Owens; great-grandchildren, Haylee Fairchild, Devin and Dustin Kling, Hunter and Hollyn Guidry, Bailee and Corey Ramey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy White; daughter, Louise Owens; parents, Weno and Maggie Achee; and her maternal grandparents, Sebastian and Nora Bonaventure.

Pallbearers will be Terry Ramey, Jarett Guidry, Hunter Guidry, Devin Kling, Dustin Kling, and Johnny Kling.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home,6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jobi Collins. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker.
