Marie Bockert

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, always hopes, always perseveres.
I Corinthians 13: 47. Marie Jenny Cruse Bockert died peacefully in the early hours of June 10, 2013 in her daughters home in Central. Her life spanned over two centuries, having been born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 11, 1911. Marie graduated from Burnside Consolidated School in Burnside, Iowa. She had many passions which included painting, reading, working crossword puzzles, knitting, and crocheting. She was an active member of The Ladies Fleet Reserve and past member of Grace Presbyterian Church and the Woods and Waters Club. Marie was a shining example of unconditional love, quiet strength, and abiding faith. Everyone knew her as Grandma or GG as her great grandchildren affectionately called her. She was a most loving, giving and unselfish person. She lived to love and give to ALL of her family. They were all her joy and love in life. Anytime there was any need or want, and she was in anyway able, she would take care of it, no matter what the cost or inconvenience to her. Marie was a devout Christian and an inspiration to us all as we are blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Royster Cruse father Roy Cruse husband Chief Warrant Officer USN Eugene Raymond Bockert and sister Frances Nyhart and her husband Orvis Nyhart. She is survived by sister Patty Bremer and husband Arnie Bremer niece Pam Richards and husband Ken Richards nephews John Nyhart and Bruce Nyhart sister in law Sybil Bockert and daughter Diann Marie Talbot and husband Warren Bruce Talbot four grandchildren, Pete Talbot and wife Kim Talbot, Doug Talbot, Jennifer Ross and husband George Ross, and Tim Talbot 10 greatgrandchildren, Mike Talbot and wife Mona Talbot, Kerri TalbotHolden and husband Jimmy Holden, Tiffany Talbot, Nikki Marie Pierce and husband Mike Pierce, Michele Cox and husband Joey Cox, Kristen Shoemake and husband Jacob Shoemake, Jeremy Talbot, Andrea Coover and husband Bryan Coover, Jessica Marie Speed and husband David Speed, and Karla Wright 18 greatgreat grandchildren, Cody and Sadie Marie Talbot, Buddy Huffman, Alyssa and Payton Holden, Zachary and Carson Stafford, Jadyn Marie Talbot, Tristan Blacklock, Peyton, Hailey Marie, and Brooke Pierce, Braylen Cox, Nola Jenny Coover, Keller and Mattie Marie Speed, Emma and Robbie Wright three greatgreatgreat grandchildren, Brent, Breanna, and Lilly Huffman. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 58pm, and on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from noon until religious services in the chapel at 2pm, conducted by Rev. Ron Lowery of Galillee Baptist Church. Entombment to follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum, Baker.
