She was married to the love of her life Carroll J. Rushing Sr. on July 9, 1961. Mabel loved everyone she ever met. Mabel's greatest expression of love and ministry was to feed those around her. Mabel had a passion for cooking, knitting, crocheting and taking care of people. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
Mabel was a long-time member of Baker Presbyterian Church where she fulfilled her servant heart by volunteering on the hospitality and bereavement committees.
Mabel was truly loved by her husband who was by her side helping her fight, advocating on her behalf and taking care of her every step of the way, meanwhile never giving up hope.
Mabel will be deeply missed and many are left heartbroken which time will never completely heal. The peace and healing begins by knowing undoubtably she is in the constant presence of her Savior. Mabel's wish would be for every person to be drawn to know God and to feel his constant peace, love and eternal gift of everlasting life.
