A resident of Baker, she passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was 78, born on August 4, 1935 in McGee, MS. She was a loving mother to all of her sons and grandchildren, and loved to cook for her family. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, gardening, and bird watching. She loved all of her grandchildren, but when Chris came to see her, she would have a special glow on her face. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, October 25, 2013 from noon until religious services in the chapel at 2pm, conducted by Rev. Dennis Allen. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by three sons, Glenn Sealy and fiancee Cheryl Lynn Warm of Prairieville, Dale William Sealy and wife Terri of Baker, and Howard Lee Sealy and companion Teresa Freeman of Prairieville sister, Leona Lee Maddox of Mobile, AL seven grandchildren, Chris, Shane, Justin, Jeffery, Jonathan, Amanda, and Cody Mack Sealy and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Elbert Gardener Sealy son, Eddie Mack Sealy three sisters, Blima Sis Jenigan, Rachel Patsy Hogan, and Dorothy Dot Bankston and her parents, Verdo and George William Bill Lucky. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and to the hospice nurses that went to Prairieville to help take care of our mom. St. Joseph Hospice provided compassionate support that eased her pain and allowed her to spend her final days peacefully at Glenns home. We would also like to thank the staff of The Carpenter House for taking such good care of our mom and Marilyn Pie Taylor for being there for Glenn and Cheryl until the end.
