Louise Howell

Louise "Lou" Day Howell, 87 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family on December 9, 2018. She entered this world on November 24, 1931, in Natchez, MS. Lou was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She retired as a beautician from her own shop, Lou's Beauty Center in Baker.

Lou is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Leonard B. Howell; son, Leonard "Len" B. Howell, Jr.; 2 daughters, Patricia "Pat" H. Bankston and Pamela H. Linton; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Faye Ensenat, Mary Charlet, Kay Starks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lou is preceded in death by her mother, Alma Butler; step-father, Moyse Butler; father, Elmo Day; daughter, Frances Hazlip; and brother, Moyse Butler, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jody Tullier, John Viator, Pat Linton, Chris Linton, Jeff Guillot, and Darren Pizzolato.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Jay Avance. The burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker.
