RICHE, L.C. Louis Clave Jr. He fought the good fight of faith. Now he is with his loving Jesus. L.C. Riche was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and Paw Paw. He went to be with Jesus on Friday, Dec. 11 at 9:20pm after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 75, a native of Evergreen, LA and a resident of Baker for over 50 years. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 from 5-9pm. Visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70811, on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 from noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm, celebrated by the Rev. Fred Youngs. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. His is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Diaville Riche; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Eddie Reynolds and Belinda Mark Matte; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Louis Hoube Riche III, and Jason Heather Riche; grandchildren, Shaye E.J. Reynolds, Amy Jacob Matte, Derek Anne-Marie Fontenot, Alyssa Kade Riche; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Camden; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Betty Riche, and Norris and Rita Riche, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, June Renee Fontenot; parents Louis C. Riche Sr. and Lenora Descant Riche; sister Beverly Riche Laborde and brother-in-law Robert Laborde. Pallbearers will be Hoube Riche, Jason Riche, E.J. Reynolds, Jacob Matte, Derek Fontenot, Kade Riche. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Reynolds, Mark Matte, Randy Riche, Christopher Riche and Keith Laborde. L.C. loved to work in his garden and work on cars in his body shop. He worked for Duplessis Cadillac for 34 years. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Chaplain and lifetime member of Jeb Stuart VFW Post 4224 in Baker. He proudly served as a US Marine during the Korean War, and was the recipeint of the Good Conduct, National Defense, United Nations, and the Korean Service Medals. Dad could never say thank you enough, even through this battle, so we are passing down his legacy of kindness to all who touched his life. A special thanks to all of our family and friends for your prayers and visits, and to Dr. Gravois, Dr. Castine, Dr. Grissom, Dr. Smither, the fourth floor nursing staff at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet, and to Jennifer with Audubon Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice.
