Louis Bergeron

Louis J. Bergeron Sr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on July 29, 2023. He was 77 years old and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War (1967-1968). He was a retired industrial stainless steel sales manager for PVF and Southwest Stainless from 1973 to 2011.

Louis was a fun-loving, generous man who loved his family tremendously. He loved hunting, camping, woodworking and gardening. On any given day he could be found on his riding lawn mower cutting the grass of his sweet neighbors. He was a helpful and kind man to everyone he encountered.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Ollie. They had been married for 56 years and had three children, Melissa Bergeron Kennedy (Christopher B. Kennedy), Louis Bergeron Jr. (Brandi Verbois Bergeron), and Claude Bergeron. Louis leaves behind six grandchildren and one great grandchild, Austin, Morgan, Faith, Julia, Mia, Emilee and Greyson. He is also survived by his older brother, Jessie Bergeron (89).

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Before Mass, the Rosary will be led by his brother Jessie Bergeron. A military burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.
