A resident of Baker and native of Donaldsonville, he died Monday April 30, 2012 at 2:55 am at his residence in Baker at the age of 92, surrounded by loving family and caregivers. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII aboard the USS Brown serving in the Pacific. An Electrician, he was retired after working over 38 years at Exxon. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home 59 Tuesday 05012012 and 11:001:00 on Wednesday 05022012 with religious services at 1:00 pm in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Deacon Willie Berthelot. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Dell Browning Hernandez, Daughter, Cynthia Durr of Shreveport, two Sons and Daughtersinlaw, Lynn W. and Janell Hernandez of Slaughter , Marc and Donnie Hernandez of Baker. A Sister, Louella Slade of Holden and Brother Larsen Hernandez of Prairieville. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 10 Greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Linden P. Hernandez Sr. and Nellie Marie Rivet Hernandez, Brothers, Lewellyn, Linwood and Lionel Hernandez.
