Linda Martin Johnson,

She was 66 years old, born on March 13, 1949 in Ruston, LA and was raised in New Orleans. She moved to the Baton Rouge area in 1985. Linda went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2015 at her home. Linda worked as a LPN for 28 years and retired in 2006. She was loved dearly and will be missed by her family, especially her husband whom she was married to for 27 years.

Linda is survived by her husband, John Johnson; her 3 daughters, Jerilynn Pierce and her partner Chris of St. Bernard, Maelynn Melancon and her husband Jerred of St. Amant, Toni Pierce and her partner Hector Ortiz of TN; and son, Jay Johnson and his wife Tracie. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers; 12 grandchildren, Leslie, Lauren, David, Kristin, Kelli, Eric, Elizabeth, Angeliegh Linda, Alyssa Jane, Keith, Danielle and Kandice and her 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lillian Martin; her maternal and paternal grandparents; a wonderful mother-in-law, Elsie Johnson; and 2 sisters, Lois Digirolamo and Mary Martin Calero-Aragon.

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.

The funeral service will follow in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 am.

Reverend Jay Avance, the pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate the services.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
