Linda Champagne

Linda Joyce Rushing Champagne, 75 years old, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 1, 2023. She entered this world on October 16, 1947, born to Annie Palmer Rushing and Calvin Rushing, in Baker, LA. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family gatherings. She loved the trips she was able to take to the Smoky Mountains and camping.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Barry Champagne; children, Carrie Pitre and husband Shawn, Deborah Whitehead and husband Bryan, Daryl Champagne and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Dylan and Faith Pitre, Joshua and Julie Whitehead, Paige, Nicholas, and Emmy Champagne; brother, Wayne Rushing and wife Cathy; sister, Cheryl Gagnet and husband Clay; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, May 03, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Cecil Smith. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
