A resident of Baker, L.E. passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was 88, a native of Crosby, MS, and a retired construction supervisor with J.E. Merit. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 59pm, and on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 9:00am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00am, conducted by Rev. Bill Boulton and Rev. Dennis Allen. Interment with military honors in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by two daughters and sonsinlaw, Debbie and Lee Moak, and Cindy and Bob Tait son and daughterinlaw, Carl and Sandra Fenn two sisters, Anna Laura Wroten and Nell Reeves brother, C.D. Fenn seven grandchildren, Blaine Moak and wife Jennifer, Ashley Fornea and husband Derrick, Michelle Newman and husband Will, Courtney Giglia and husband Matthew, Brooke Fenn, Lauren Nutt and husband Daniel, and Daniel Albrecht and nine greatgrandchildren, Alexis Moak, Bryce Benton, Fenn Moak, Bradyn and Kortlyn Fornea, Preston and Everett Newman, and Mason and Hayden Nutt. Preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Maxine Fenn granddaughter, Jennifer Saale and his parents, Eugene and Sally Leake Fenn. Pallbearers will be Blaine Moak, Daniel Albrecht, Will Newman, Matthew Giglia, Derrick Fornea, and Lane Nutt. L.E. was a deacon at Faith Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member for many years. He enjoyed traveling and carpentry. Our deepest appreciation to the staff of The Carpenter House.
