Levon Watson

Levon Marie Watson, 93 years old, beloved Mother and Friend was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 22, 2024. She entered this world on March 20, 1931, born to Mable and Gilbert Landry, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.

From childhood she would read the newspaper daily. Doing the crossword puzzles while her cat, Meg laid in her lap. She enjoyed spending time in her vegetable garden and taking care of her numerous house plants. She would spend her mornings walking through her yard checking on all of her plants.

Levon is survived by her son, James Michael Watson (Donna); daughter, Mary Watson Jenkins (Russell); grandchildren, Joshua Jenkins (Michelle), Christopher Jenkins (Danielle), Jaime Mertz (Christopher), and Stephen Michael Watson (Marilyn); great-grandchildren, Katherine Jenkins, Kason Jenkins, Caroline Jenkins, Jonah Jenkins, Juliet Jenkins, James Jenkins, Levi Mertz, Garrett Mertz, and Mason Watson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Levon is preceded in death by her husband, James Watson; father, Gilbert Landry; mother, Mable Landry; brothers, Clayton and Elton Landry; sister, Agnes Reyerson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonah Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Kason Jenkins, Chris Mertz and Michael Watson.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 11:30 AM until the Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM, officiated by Father Lamar Partin. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
