A resident of Baker, and a Decontamination Technician with Numanco at Riverbend Nuclear Plant with 12 years of service, he passed away peacefully at 2:40am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at his dads home in Baker. He was 51, a native of Baton Rouge, and a 1977 graduate of Baker High School. Visiting at First Baptist Church of Baker, 3213 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 58pm, and on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 10am until religious services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Allen Johnson, Rev. John Thomas, and Rev. Ron Lowery. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his father, former mayor of Baker, Norman E. Pete Heine of Baker son and daughterinlaw, Jeremy Brittney Heine of Slaughter one sister and brotherinlaw, Kathy Heine and Glenn Overfield of Zachary two brothers and a sisterinlaw, Chuck Heine of Baton Rouge, and James Scooter and Gigi Heine of Baker two stepgrandchildren, Nadalyn and Hayden and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Lea Pilcher Heine brother, Steve Heine maternal grandparents, Iva Lea and Homer Pilcher and paternal grandparents, Rev. Charles A. and Edna Heine. Pallbearers will be Steven Heine, James Heine, Joseph Heine, Randy Pilcher, Keith Olinde, Mark Hano, Alvin Bauer and Doug Howland. Honorary pallbearers are Jared Heine, Austin Heine, Chuck Heine, and Glenn Overfield. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker, an avid outdoorsman, a huge Saints fan, and enjoyed coincollecting. He also enjoyed spending time at Steves Dream RV Park in Leeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Fellowship of Leland or Canon Hospice.
