Kylee Vickers

No more hardships, no more pain – only peace and joy forever.

Kylee “Bug” Marie Vickers, age 21, a resident of Central, LA passed away on July 2, 2022, after a life-long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Her heart and love for Santa and firemen were bigger than her disease. In her short life, Kylee never stopped smiling and taught so many people what love is all about. With her contagious smile and precious giggle, she brought joy to all those she met.

God only gives special children to special mothers - and her mom was the best. Kylee is survived by her mother, Patricia Soileau (Law); father, Michael “Mikie” Vickers, Jr.; stepfather, Josh Law; brother, Chance Vickers; and sisters, Alexa Law, Brenna Law, Skyler Vickers, and Erin Vickers. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Craig and Bridget Daigle Soileau; paternal grandparents, Susie Smith Vickers, and Margaret and Alan Law; maternal great-grandparents, Joseph and Pearl Daigle and James and Loretta Soileau; paternal great-grandmother, Louise Smith; and a large host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kylee is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Lois St. Cyr Soileau; her favorite great uncle, Wayne “Dude” Landry; and her paternal grandfather, Michael Vickers, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Timothy “Doobie” Soileau, Adam Landry, Matt Daigle, Alex Oubre, Chance Vickers and Josh Law and honorary pallbearer Gavin Landry.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM officiated by Father Frank Bass. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM, led by Court St. Jude Catholic Daughters. Graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA.

The family of Kylee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Heart of Hospice, Egan Oschner Home Health, Dreams Come True, McMains Children’s Developmental Center, and all her OT, PT and ST therapists.

Kylee lived her life just as St. Francis said: “Preach the gospel always and when necessary, use words.”
