FABRE, Kenneth J.
A native of Valverda, and a resident of Baker, he passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Mid City at the age of 87. He was retired from the State Highway Department, and a US Army Veteran of WWII. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 from 59pm. Visiting resumes Friday, Feb. 12 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Fred Youngs. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is suirvived by a daughter and soninlaw, Diane Wallace LeBlanc of Baker a son and daughterinlaw, Donald Carolyn Fabre of Baton Rouge two sisters, Olivia Sanders of Walker, and Myrtis Watson of Spring Hill a brother, Clifford Fabre of Baton Rouge seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Chenevert Fabre a son, Randy Fabre and a sister, Elva Andre. He enjoyed woodworking, and was a member of and usher at St. Isidore Catholic Church, and was also involved in St. Vincent DePauls work for the poor.
