Kathryn Cambre

A devoted wife and mother, resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Sunday July 1, 2012 at her home. She was 83. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home Thursday July 5, 2012 from 5:009:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visiting will resume at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am conducted by Father Frank Bass. Interment will follow in the St. Isidore Catholic Church cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Louis Cambre seven daughters, Ginny OSullivan and husband Patie, Beverly Shaw and husband James, Mona Simoneaux, Dianne Calmes and husband Robert, Irene Cambre, Tracy Mahaney and husband Dennis, Cindy Bailey and husband Ashton two sons, Barry Cambre and wife Denise and Scott Cambre one sister Frances Pilman two brothers, Pat Phillips and Danny Phillips. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, Emily and Patrick OSullivan Amy, Ryan and Jacob Shaw Kathryn and Allen Calmes Joshua, Sarah, Francis, Christopher and Elizabeth Mahaney Joseph and Jordin Cambre Zachary, Matthew and Andrew Bailey and Jackson Cambre and one greatgrandson, Liam Dodson. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sue Phillips daughter Rebecca Cambre son Joseph Cambre soninlaw Scott Simoneaux 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She was an active member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and she had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother. A special thank you to her caregiver, Michelle Whatley, for her compassionate, loving care of our mother.
