Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind, but now I see. A loving mother, grandmother, G.G., and friend, and a resident of Greenwell Springs, she passed away at The Care Center Nursing Home on Monday, June 25, 2012. She was 79, and a native of Vance, Alabama. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 58pm, and on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 9am, conducted by Rev. Milford Walters. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by a daughter and soninlaw, Janice and John Warner of Central two sons, James Howton of Baton Rouge, and Jerry Sipes of Houston a sister, Lula Mae Fowler of Alabama three brothers, Marvin Kizziah of Tennessee, Victor Kizziah of Florida, and Eugene Kizziah of Washington two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Warner and two greatgrandchildren, Kinzley and Payton Warner. Preceded in death by husband, Barney Sipes parents, Rosie Lee and William Kizziah three brothers, Floyd, Billy, and Ernest Kizziah and brotherinlaw, Melvin Kirby. Katherine was a member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Care Center Nursing Home, 11188 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
