Katherine Owen

Katherine "Kay" Owen was born on December 28, 1922 in Denison, Texas. She passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017 in Baton Rouge. She retired from Agapeland Day Care and the nursery at the First Baptist Church of Baker.

Kay is survived by her children, Patsy and husband Tommy Watson, Marcilla "Cindy" Owen, Debby and husband Tim Milton and Samuel Ray and wife Marjorie Owen; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Billy and wife Mary Carr.

Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Owen and 7 brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA, Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at Baker Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Jay Avance. The burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
