Joyce Testa

A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at her home. She was 73. She started her career in the optical business in 1960, and in 1981, she purchased Professional Optical Company. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 59pm, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, celebrated by Rev. Jeff Bayhi. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by husband, Steve P. Testa of Baton Rouge one daughter and soninlaw, Sheri TestaEskelund and Ronnie Eskelund, Jr. of Dade City, Florida a sister and brotherinlaw, Melanie Langlois Patton and Kent Patton of Baton Rouge three brothers and sistersinlaw, Albert V. Puddin Jr. and Suzanne Langlois of Baton Rouge Gerard W. Jerry and Marion Langlois of Springfield and John C. Boo and Charlotte Langlois of Baton Rouge two grandchildren, Melissa Bennett and Steven Eskelund and two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, Albert V. Langlois Sr mother, Isabelle Bergeron Langlois and a son, Jerry Douglas Bennett. Pallbearers will be Gerard Langlois, Alan Langlois, Jay Langlois, Lester Mayer, Kenny Pellegrin, Steve Langlois, Darren Langlois, and Kelvin Dubois. Honorary pallbearers are Allan Lucia and Chad Dorgan. Joyce was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and loved to fish.
