Joyce Settoon

A resident of Baker and a native of White Castle, LA, she died at her home on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the age of 74. Joyce was a loving and caring wife and mother, always putting her family before herself. She loved being around family and friends and her biggest joy was to have her children and grandchildren around her. She never met a stranger and was kind to all she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 59pm, and on Monday, August 16, 2010 from 11am until religious services in the chapel at 1pm, conducted by Father Frank B. Bass. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by husband, Charles J. Settoon two sons and daughtersinlaw, Charles Chuck Settoon Jr. and wife Lisa and Joseph Paris JP Settoon and Michelle three daughters and sonsinlaw, Wanda Cox and husband Charles, Cindy Jones and husband Todd, and Meg Settoon of Jackson, GA five grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Rebecca Settoon, Shelby Jones, and Chris Cox of Oklahoma one greatgrandchild, Cole Cox of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Mable Hebert, two sisters, Delores Odom and Lois McMillan and a brother, Milton Hebert. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Tangela, Regina and all the staff of Amedisys Hospice Services of BR. Mom loved all of you She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
