Joyce D'Avy

Joyce M. Soileau DAvy, a homemaker and a resident of central passed away Thursday August 25, 2011 at Harvest Manor Nursing. A native of Ville Platte, she was 88. Dont grieve for me for Ill be spending Christmas in Heaven. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home 12:302:00 Saturday 08272011 with religious services at 2:00 pm conducted by Pastor Jay Coleman of Journey Church of Central. Entombment to follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. She is survived by 1 daughter, Barbara G. Monteilh of Lake Charles 1 son, Ben Guillory of St. Amant and 2 Sisters, Jane Francois and Lou Fontenot. Also survived by 4 stepchildren, Margie Robin, Nubby Davy Jr., Marshall Davy and Terry Davy 23 Grandchildren 38 Greatgrandchildren and 3 Greatgreat grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Martin and Lena Soileau Husband, Nubby Honey Davy Sr. 2 sons, James C. Guillory , Sherman Guillory and 1 Grandson, Lee Bivona. Pallbearers are to be Curt Mitchel, Lynn Ross, Caleb Ross, Mark Monteilh, Monty Monteilh and Justin Davy. The family would like to thank Life Source Hospice and Harvest Manor Nursing Home for their care and kindness.
