Joyce Ann Johnson David
A loving mother and grandmother, and a resident of Baker, Joyce went to meet her Lord and Savoir on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Flannery Oaks Guest House. She was 74, and a native of Pineville.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, April 14, from 4-9pm, and on Wednesday, April 15, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 12:00pm, conducted by Rev. Dale Phillips. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Joyce is survived by three daughters, Pamela Bagents (Richard Wilson), Wanda Halford and husband, Jimmy, and Janice Boutwell; a son, Darrell David and wife, Pam; two brothers, Leroy Johnson and Bobby Font; a step-brother, Edward Babin; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wallace "Pee Wee" David; and a grandson, Darrell " Shane" David.
Joyce enjoyed fishing, Bingo, and Pokeno. She loved singing, dancing and cooking, and never let anybody go hungry. She volunteered at the Baker Council on Aging, where she received a service award for her dedication. She loved visiting with people, and never met a stranger, and was known as " Ms. Social Bug" at the nursing home. She brought lots of love and laughter to our lives, and we will miss her dearly.
