Joseph Gross Sr.

Joseph Camille J.C. Gross, Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born on February 26, 1921, in Paincourtville and was a lifelong resident of Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Marie Sharkey Gross. J.C. proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a veteran of World War II. Visiting will be at Baker Funeral Home, Friday May 7th from 4:008:00 and again on Saturday from 8:00 until services at 9:30 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his two Sons, Joseph C. Jay Gross Jr. and Wife Susan Keebler Gross of Central and Jeffery L. Gross and wife Karen Blankenship Gross of Aurora, Colorado. Seven Grandchildren, Erin Gross, Andrew Gross and Wife Amanda, Matthew Gross and Wife Celeste, Adam Gross and Wife Megan, Amanda Gross, Ashley Gross Davis and Husband Harry, and John Gross. Two Greatgrandchildren, Tyler S. Gross and Ethan J. Gross. Preceded in death by his Wife, Joyce Sharkey Gross and Parents Camille Joseph and Alpha Breaux Gross and Sisters, Alpha Meyers and Mary Bouguet.
