Joseph Gilliam

Joseph Layton Gilliam, 68 years old, a beloved brother, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 1, 2017. He entered this world on March 27, 1949, in Helena, AR, born to Joseph and Alice Gilliam. He enjoyed traveling, reading books, history, spending time with his family, friends and his beloved kanine companion, Chloe.

Joseph is survived by his sister, Janice Gilliam Ragsdale and her husband Frank of Zachary; and his two nieces, Heather Ragsdale Mayhood and husband, Justin and their son, Austin of Alvin, Texas and Tara Ragsdale Norris and husband, Aaron and their daughter, Emma Grace of Zachary.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Gilliam.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the graveside service at Cypert Cemetery on Hwy 318, in Cypert, Arkansas, on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Mark Spencer.
