Joseph Murvis Daigle, 89 years old, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Great-Great Grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 21, 2023. He entered this world on May 25, 1933, born to Thelma LeDoux Daigle and Adam Daigle, in Richard, LA. Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church where he served as a senior acolyte at daily mass and most funerals. He sang in the church choir for many years and administered communion to the local nursing home residents. He enjoyed woodworking and made hundreds of crosses over the years that he gave to anyone who entered his home and donated many to organizations in our local area. He retired from Precision Brake and Clutch where he was Vice President of the company.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Pearl Babineaux Daigle; children,
Connie Barrett (Freddie Young), Debbie Landry, Pam Pourciau (Michael), Bridget Soileau (Craig), Matthew Daigle (Susan), Joseph Daigle (Kim), Tina Oubre (Michael); 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Thomas Givens; great granddaughter, Kylee Vickers; sons-in-law, Ron Barrett and Wayne Landry; and sisters, Gertie Mae Cormier and Mildred Thibodeaux.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to the hospice workers, especially Dixie, Cassandra, and Latrice of St. Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter House for the love and great care they gave.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:30 PM. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service with military honors and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
