Jon Wunstel

Jon Roger "J.R." Wunstel, 61 years old, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on September 24, 1959, born to Shirley Yost Wunstel and Jack Wunstel, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a lifelong member of Blackwater United Methodist Church. He lived for his family, hunting, and was an avid Harley Davidson rider.

Jon is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ann Wunstel; daughter, Chrissy McRae and husband, Brian; sons, Donald Ordes, and Danny Ordes and wife, Angie; and grandchildren, Paislie Fairley, Carter Jon Fairley, BriAnna McRae, Isabella Ordes, Kayla Ordes, Devin Ordes, Chloe Ordes, Grayson Lee, Meredith Lee, and Jude Walker.

Jon is preceded in death by his father, Jack Wunstel; mother, Shirley Wunstel; and grandson, Ty Christopher Fairley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Ordes, Donald Ordes, Brian McRae, Devin Ordes, Erik Fairley, and David McRae.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the Graveside service on September 11, 2021 at Blackwater United Methodist Church Cemetery, 10000 Blackwater Road at 11:00 AM, officiated by dear friend Kevin Wilkinson of the CMA.
