A loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, he passed away at 2:00am Saturday, April 7, 2012, at tBaton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet. He was 73. Born February 11, 1939 in Cecilia, he was a longtime resident of East Baton Rouge Parish. He was a retired Electrician from IBEW Local 995. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday April 9, 2012 from 5:009:00pm. Visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 10:00am until religious services at 11:00am, conducted by Deacon Donald Ard. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda Sullivan Thomassee son and daughterinlaw, John Jr. and Tammie S. Thomassee of League City, Texas daughter and soninlaw Vikki and Richard Hebert of Baton Rouge granddaughter, Adrienne L. Thomassee of League City, Texas grandsons, Richard Caleb and Joshua Earl Hebert of Baton Rouge sisters, Lucy T. Shoemake of Prairieville, Florence T. Polk and husband John of Beaufort, SC. and Rhonda T. Cannon and husband Brian of Katy, Texas nephews, W. Allen Shoemake of Baton Rouge, and David Polk of Beaufort nieces, Constance P. Nickles of Beaufort, and Alexandra L. Cannon of Katy. He is also survived by his faithful and loving dog, Toby. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Leah D. Thomassee brothers, Bobby James and Charles Jr and brotherinlaw Wallace A. Shoemake Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations my be made to Cancer Services, 550 Lobdell Ave. , Baton Rouge, La. 70806.
