Joe May, Jr.

A resident of Baker since 1959, he was called Home to hear, Well done, My good and faithful servant at his home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the age of 85. He was a retired machinist with Exxon and a native of Sikeston, Missouri. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 58pm. Visiting at First Baptist Church of Baker on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 9am until religious services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Steve Vickers. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Pittman May of Baker two daughters sonsinlaw, Betty Rocky Johnson of Baker, and Glenda Duane Jones of Huntington, Texas a son and daughterinlaw, Raymond Linda May of Central a sister, Aileen Davis of Baton Rouge a brother, William C. May of Baton Rouge five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elna P. May, and six siblings. Pallbearers will be Pete Heine, Jason Johnson, Jake Johnson, David May, Donnie Abadie, and Mark Normand. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker, and loved fishing and hunting.
