Joanne Young

Joanne Jones Young, 79 years old, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 19, 2020. She entered this world on July 4, 1940, born to Everett and Bradie Jones, in Parsons, TN and resided in Baker, LA.

Joanne is survived by her loving children, Ronny Tucker and wife Orti, Regina Mattox and husband Steve, Robbie Tucker, Mark Tucker, Mike Tucker and wife Amy, and Kimberly Young and fiancé LeRay Picou; step-children, Gail Cross and husband Don, Tom Edd Young and wife Rhonda, David Young and wife Tracy; two brothers, Bob Jones and Jim Jones; sister, Pat Hays; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Young; parents, Everett and Bradie Jones; brother, Bill Jones; and two sisters, Captola Holt and Mary Sheperd.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
