Joann Watkins

JoAnn Fedele Watkins, 80, beloved mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on April 27, 2016. She entered this world on August 3, 1935 in New Orleans, LA, born to Sam and Veta Fedele.

JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pinsonat and husband Chris; her sons, Kevin Watkins, Greg Watkins and his companion Donna Silvio; brother, Joe Fedele; grandaughters, Christy Thibeau and husband Jason, Brittany Hooper, Erin Volentine Newman and husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Landry, Sean & Trinity Sunday, Cullen & Cooper Thibeau.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Sam & Veta Fedele; husband, Jim Watkins; and son-in-law, Randy Hooper.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom RD, Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visiting will continue on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA, from 9:30am until the celebration of life service at 11:00am. Father Mike Moroney will officiate the service and the interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in JoAnn's name to St. Gerard Catholic Church at 5354 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70805.
