Jimmie Maples

Jimmie Nell Booty Maples, 90 years old, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on June 21, 1933, born to Maggie and Alton Booty, in Mount Hermon, LA. She loved spending time crocheting, doing needle point, and her weekly time playing Rummikub with friends. She enjoyed her garden and she canned many of her vegetables, fruits, and beans over the years. She had fond memories of spending the summers with her grandkids while they were out of school.

Jimmie Nell is survived by her son, Donnie Maples; daughter and son in law, Pam Pace and Mark; son in law, Kenneth Breaux; grandchildren, Heidi Breaux, Jeremy Maples and wife, Kristen, Nicholas Maples, and Ashley Pace; great-grandchildren, Mason Percle, Brayden Stevens, Haylee Percle, and Brooke Maples; brother, Alton Wilson Booty; sister, Jo Nell Burch; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmie Nell is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dual Maples; father, Alton Booty; mother, Maggie Dedon Booty; daughter, Kathy Breaux; daughter in law, Beverly Maples; brothers, Jerald and Woodrow Booty; and sister, Geraldine Morris.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Louisiana, on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Brother Marc Gregoire. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
