Jewell O. Wallace, 85, a resident of Denver, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at University Hospital in Denver from pneumonia and complications due to prostate cancer. Jewell was born in Bogalusa and later resided in Baton Rouge for many years before moving to Denver, where he had resided for the past 17 years. Visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, March 11, from 11a.m. until service in the chapel at 1p.m. Entombment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Jewell is survived by two daughters, Connie Testoni and Pat Seal four grandchildren, Antisa Webb, Andeana Dautel, Brandi Ebarb and Matthew Testoni and six greatgrandchildren, Lance Dautel, Austin Ebarb, Caroline Webb, Maelyn Ebarb, Alexandra Dautel and Travis Webb. Jewell was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Zumo Wallace parents three brothers four sisters and two sons, Howard Frederic Carber Jr. and Larry Dale Carber. Jewell was a member of Mississippi Avenue Baptist Church in Aurora, Colo. He loved nature and being outdoors. He also enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
