EVANS, Jeffrey
A resident of Baker, and maintenance supervisor for Copper Ridge Apartments, and formerly employed at Town Oaks Apartments, he passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center MidCity. He was 55, a native of Baton Rouge, and a US Army Veteran, having recieved a sharpshooting medal. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Thursday, July 15, 2010 from noon until religious services in the chapel at 2pm, conducted by Brother Eddie Davis. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by a daughter, Jessika Evans and grandson, Tristan TK Evans, both of Ville Platte 3 sisters and a brotherinlaw, Carolyn Ron Steigerwalt of Omaha, NE, Joan Evans of Central, and Claudia Hawkins of Baton Rouge three brothers and two sistersinlaw, Paul Sheryl Evans of Silverdale, WA, Richard Bonny Evans of Watson, and John Evans of Winnsboro 19 nieces nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Fred Ethel Evans four brothers, Fred Jr, Steven, Claude Michael Evans and a sister, Linda Thurman. Pallbearers will be JJ Trotter, Thad Hawkins, Joey Evans, Brian Guillory, Thomas Guy and Cory Guy. Jeffrey spent his life helping others, and touched many lives through his kindness and caring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to any branch of E. Federal Credit Union.
