Janet Cummings Conerly, Our Pawnee Princess, 75, resident of Pride, LA, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend was called to her eternal resting place on January 4, 2017. She entered this world on December 31, 1941 in Pawnee, OK, born to Lowell and Gladys Cummings. Janet was caring, beautiful, loving, feisty, spunky, a fighter and a rule-breaker until the end. After a difficult battle with Alzheimer's, she finally decided to go rest.
Janet is survived by her husband Alton B. "A.B." Conerly, Jr.; three daughters, Tracy Mayfield and husband, Barry, Shannon Schillage and husband, Joey and Robin Blair and husband, Wade; two sons, Brett Womack and wife Laura and Alton "Trey" Conerly, III and wife, Trina; ten grandchildren, Casey and Danielle Bice, Samantha and Ryan Levatino, Brett Allen, Wesley Womack, Trey Paul, Jami and Madelyn Conerly, and Noah Blair; and three great-grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Lowell Cummings
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Thomas Fletcher. Graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
