James "Mike" Farris

James Michael "Mike" Farris, Sr., 68 years old, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 1, 2021. He entered this world on February 15, 1953, born to Minnie Peacock Farris and Luther Farris, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren

Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Mary Drummond Farris; sons, Jimmy Farris, and Jesse Farris; daughter, Whitney White; grandchildren, Katelyn Farris, Michael Farris, Ruby Farris, Isabella Farris, Ambellina Farris, Bradley White, and Isaiah White; sisters, Linda Barber and Brenda White; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Luther Farris; mother, Minnie Farris; daughter, Faith Farris; and brother, Andy Farris.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, September 08, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Richard Metz. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
