James "Jimmy" Odom, Iii

James "Jimmy" Norman Odom, III, 74 years old, beloved Husband and Father, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 28, 2021. He entered this world on February 17, 1947, born to Iris and James Odom, Jr., in Baton Rouge, LA. Jimmy honorably served his country in the Marines. He was a member of Comite Church of Christ.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Laura Avriett Odom; daughter, Sarah L. Odom; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, James "Norman" Odom, Jr.; mother, Iris Davis Odom; brother, Jack Earl Odom; and sister, Kay Odom Risley.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM, officiated by Will Tramel. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, in Zachary, Louisiana.
