James Young, Sr.

James David Young, Sr., 80, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on July 30, 2016 at The Butterfly Wing Hospice Center in Baton Rouge.

He leaves his wife of nearly 55 years, Fay (Noland) Young; two sons, James "David" (Susan) Young and Chris (Kalyn) Young; his brother, Allen (Emily) Young; seven grandchildren; and many close family and friends. James served in the National Guard from 1954-1960.

James is preceded in death by his parents, JD Young and Vernell (Mitchell) Young Moore.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Bethany Church, Baker Campus on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the celebration of life service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Brill will officiate the services. Graveside service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
