A resident of Baker and a beekeeper, he passed away at his home on Sunday, October 2, 2011. He was 68, a native of Vermontville, Michigan, and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Memorial services will be held at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Zelma McCrimmon of Baker two sons, James McCrimmon II of Tucson, Arizona, and Jason McCrimmon of Holden, one daughter, Debbie Funk of Battle Creek, MI four stepchildren, Marvin Humphrey, Darlene Faylor, Rebecca Lowenthal, and Laura Humphrey three sisters, Judy, Janet and Sue a brother, Ronnie McCrimmon 20 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Nancy and his parents, Roy and Georgia Wolf McCrimmon. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday April 7, 2012. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society or simply plant a tree in Jims memory.
