James Jesse Barrett, 95, and a resident Denham Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2017. He was a heavy equipment operator, retired from Ideal Cement Plant. James served in the United Sates Army during WWII and he also was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Bob Cutrer; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Beth Barrett; three grandchildren, Kimberly and Dean Cutrer, and Brandon Barrett; four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Kendall Cutrer, and Aubrey and Brandon Le Barrett.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Susie Jordan Barrett; and sister, Evelyn Gregory.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker La., on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 9:00 am until the service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Reverend Kenneth Jordan. The graveside and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
