In Loving Memory of Iris Bagley Cunningham

Born on May 4, 1945, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Iris Bagley Cunningham, a cherished soul, breathed her last breath on October 10, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever impact those who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.

Iris, a woman of grace and intellect, pursued her education diligently. With her keen mind and meticulous nature, she found her calling as a bookkeeper in the banking industry and also worked with the Louisiana State Retirement System for many years. Her unparalleled dedication and unwavering commitment to her work garnered respect from her colleagues and clients alike. Iris was also an avid reader and enjoyed the art and beauty of gardening.

Iris is survived by her son, Steven Cunningham (Angela); daughter, Terri Doss (Thad); grandchildren, Ryan and Bryce Cunningham and Noah Doss; and her brother, Gerald Bagley.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved, the late, Frankie Cunningham. Together, they shared a bond forged by love, laughter, and the beautiful memories that will forever linger in their hearts. She is also preceded in death by her loving parents, Winton and Helen Law Bagley; brothers, Darrell Bagley and Donnis Law.

In accordance with her wishes, Iris will find her final resting place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, Louisiana, after October 13, 2023, where her soul will find eternal peace.

In this moment of profound grief, let us remember Iris Bagley Cunningham as a beacon of love, wisdom, and kindness. May her spirit forever inspire us to embrace life and love wholeheartedly, as she did so effortlessly.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit shall forever guide us. Iris Bagley Cunningham will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
