A resident of Baker, and a retired Corrections Officer with Louisiana State Penitentiary, he passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 90, a native of Mansura, and a U.S. Naval ServiceCoast Guard veteran of WWII. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife of 67years, Marie Enola Smith Milligan two daughters and sonsinlaw, Debra and Ken Klicker, and Margaret and Neal Easley son and daughterinlaw, Herman Jr. and Jackie Milligan four grandchildren, Yolanda Milligan, Angela Milam, Dustan Milam, and Morgan Richardson 10 greatgrandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild. Preceded in death by grandson, Joe Milligan three brothers, George, C.J., and Royce Milligan sister, Joyce Juneau soninlaw, Danny Joe Milam and his parents, Clifton and Edna Fontanille Milligan. Pallbearers are Herman Milligan, Jr., Dustan Milam, Justan Hood, Daniel Evans, Michael Milligan, and Neal Easley. Herman was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and was an avid gardener.
