Herbert Kerrens

A resident of Slaughter, and a native of Arcadia, he died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his home. He was 84, a retired truck driver, and a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 58pm, and on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Dale Richter. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by wife, Gwen Presley Kerrens of Slaughter son, Kenneth Lynn Kerrens of St. Francisville five step children, Brenda Presley Peirce of Tennessee, Glenda Presley Lillis of Livingston, Jim Edward Presley of Slaughter, Gene Presley of Livingston, and Johnny Presley of Baker and a brother, C.L. Leroy Kerrens of Monroe. He was preceded in death by previous wife, Joy Kerrens a sister, Betty Jo Cherry and his parents. Pallbearers are Jimmy, Gene, Johnny, and Cody Presley.
