Herbert Johanson

Herbert Augustus Johanson went to be with the Lord on August 20th, 2022 around 10:45 am after fighting medical issues for some time. He is survived by his wife Betty Johanson, sister, Alice Roderick and her two children (Doug and Joan), granddaughter, Amanda Olson, and son-in-law, Brad Vadner; as well as, his step-children and their spouses, Robert Mizell, Ree Ann Vogler, Donna Carter, Mike Carter, Lee Anne Whittington, David Whittington, Joy McGinnis, Russell A. Mizell, and Mark Cheairs. Along with manygrandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom loved him deeply. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Judy Johanson, and daughters, Rhonda Vadner and Renee Johanson.

He was born on October 11, 1929 and survived to be just shy of his 93rd birthday. He is a proud Navy Veteran, a true Seabee at heart and took pride in his service. Through this service and veterans reunion after he had lost his first love, is where he found his second love Betty Mizell. He and Betty were married on September 25, 2003. They had been together almost 19 years, loved each other, shared crossword puzzles, teased each other and shared their love of the Lord. Your prayers for Betty and all the extended family during this time are greatly appreciated.

Herb requested a cremation and a Celebration of Life that will be done in Minnesota, where he was from. Details will be at a later date.
