Helen Allen

Helen Sue Serio Allen, 84 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on June 14, 1939, born to Margarett and John Serio, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church for many years. Helen was well known for her ministry at the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Susan Lynn Bonano and spouse, Arlyn Kane Bonano; sons, Robert "Bobby" Allen Arnold, John "Scooter" W. Arnold, and Joseph Ricci Guidry; sister, Patricia Ann Hardesty; grandchildren, Kristien Blount and spouse, Clay Blount and Sean Bonano and spouse, Felicia Bonano; non-paternal grandson, Kristopher "KC" Clay Taylor; and a host of step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, John Ambrose Allen; father, John Dominc Serio; mother, Margarett Helen Hood Serio; step-father, William "Bill" Middleton; son, Steven Troy Arnold; and daughter, Tina Marie Arnold.

Serving as pallbearers will be John "Scooter" W. Arnold, Joseph Ricci Guidry, Kristopher "KC" Clay Taylor, Lucas Caine Dove, Shawn Thomas Blount and Brandon Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
