Harvey H. McCorkle

A native of Baton Rouge and a reisdent of Zachary, Harvey H. McCorkle passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at 7:42pm at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 58 and the Vice President of the Maintenance and Turnaround DIvision of Turner Industries Group, LLC. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 from 58pm, and on Wed. Jan. 20, 2010 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Sidney Stewart. Interment to follow in Blackwater UMC Cemetery. Survived by wife of 35 years, Loy Keller McCorkle of Zachary a daughter and soninlaw, Tweety Dennis Dufrene of Zachary a son and daughterinlaw, Matthew Lisa McCorkle of Zachary a sister, Ruth Beeson of West Monroe and four grandchildren, Myles, Levi, Tayla, and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Penny McCorkle and two brothers, Jimmy Mickey McCorkle. Pallbearers will be Solomon Garba, Rick Stewart, Brent Phillips, James Pino, Gary Truxillo, and Brad Bouy. He was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Fund of Plains Presbyterian Church in Zachary.
