Harold Melancon

MELANCON, Harold J.

A resident of Baton Rouge and a retired operator with Exxon, he died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 89, a native of Baton Rouge, and a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 11am until religious services in the chapel at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Alex Sheldon. Entombment to follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. He survied by his caregivers, Ivory Whitmore and Wendy Keller and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtis Ward Melancon. Pallbearers will be Patrick Robinson, Joseph Williams, Kentrail Johnson, Samuel Williams, Kem Williams, and Joseph Smith. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
